Here is what we do on a typical Sunday:

  • Arrive and set out food
  • Eat and catch up on each other’s lives
  • Examine scripture or discuss current events relevant to our faith
  • Share communion
  • Pray for each other

We have recently begun a monthly rotation to vary and balance how our time is spent:

  • First Sunday: Prayer
  • Second Sunday: Devotional, singing
  • Third Sunday: Bible study
  • Fourth Sunday: Service/Mission

We generally keep it pretty simple. We don’t consider this a worship service (though we sometimes sing a few songs), we meet in a home, and there is no preaching or collection. We are striving to authentically live out our faith without the baggage of heavy church overhead. This enables us to be flexible and responsive to each other’s needs as well as needs in our community and world.
